River Town Federal Credit Union was formed in 1958 as a state chartered credit union formerly known as Sparks Federal Credit Union. It was state chartered by a group of Sparks Hospital employees wanting the benefit of savings and loan products.
In 1986 River Town Credit Union became a federal chartered credit union. Since that time, River Town Federal Credit Union has added other employee groups who benefit from lower loan rates, fewer fees, and a voice in what happens at the credit union.
